(Pierre) - A Powerball ticket sold in Britton was one of three tickets in the nation to match the five white balls, but not the red Powerball, to win $200,000 in Wednesday night’s drawing.
The winning Powerball numbers for the February 11, 2009 drawing were: 05, 10, 22, 45, 49 and the Powerball was 37. The Power Play prize multiplier was 2.
Because no one matched all six numbers in the drawing, the estimated jackpot for the next drawing on Saturday, February 14th grows to $92 million.
State Lottery director Norm Lingle said the ticket holder should sign the back of the ticket immediately, put it in a safe place, and contact the Lottery office in Sioux Falls (605-367-5840) or Pierre (605-773-5770) to make arrangements to validate the ticket and claim the prize.
The winner has 180 days to claim their prize.
Powerball is played in 30 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1:195,249,054.
The odds of winning the game’s $200,000 second prize are 1:5,138,133. The two other second prize winning tickets in Wednesday’s drawing were sold in Florida.
