(Pierre) - Raymond Rathbun of Fort Pierre is the state’s latest $100,000 Powerball winner. He correctly matched all five white numbers, but not the red Powerball number, for the Wednesday, September 17, drawing.
Rathbun purchased his "quick pick" ticket at the Fresh Start Convenience Store in Fort Pierre. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Rathbun is the 95th player to win the lotto game’s second-level prize in South Dakota.
The estimated jackpot for the next Powerball drawing on Saturday, September 20, is $43,000,000. Powerball is played in 24 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
