Sioux Falls Man Wins Corvette in Scratch Ticket Game

For Immediate Release: 10/19/2009

(PIERRE, SD) - Jack Stack of Sioux Falls today claimed the second of two new Corvette convertibles that were offered as the grand prize in the South Dakota Lottery's Corvette Summer scratch ticket game.

He purchased the grand prize winning scratch ticket at Lewis Drug in Brookings. Stack picked up his new car from Dell Rapids Chevrolet. The Corvette came fully loaded with a variety of premium features; Stack was allowed to choose the convertible's color.

The Corvette Summer scratch ticket first became available to players in March of 2008. In addition to cash prizes ranging from $5 to $1,000, the game also gave players the opportunity to win merchandise prize packs containing a Corvette leather jacket, coverlet, polo shirt and cap, or to instantly win one of two new Corvette convertibles. The first convertible was claimed by Kathy and David Svendsen of Brookings in April of last year.

The odds of winning the Corvette were 1: 91,770. Now that both grand prize vehicles have been won, the game has been retired from sale.
