A group of 13 current and retired postal workers from Michigan on Feb. 4, 2011 claimed their half of the $93 million jackpot from the Feb. 1, 2011 Mega Millions drawing.
Two tickets matched all five white ball numbers and the yellow Mega Ball to split the jackpot from the Feb. 1, 2011 drawing. The other ticket was sold in Indiana; that winner has yet to come forward.
The Michigan winners, who call themselves the P-1 Gold Lottery Club, are all employees or former employees of the Priority Mail Center in Romulus, MI. The group has been purchasing Mega Millions tickets together for 12 years. The jackpot-winning ticket was purchased at a Meijer's store in Belleville, MI. The group elected to take their winnings in a lump sum of $29 million before taxes.
