Ines Carvajal of Kissimmee, FL on March 3, 2011 claimed her $182.1 million jackpot from the Feb. 26, 2011 Powerball drawing.
Carvajal claimed the prize on behalf of the Carvajal Family Group; she plans to share the winnings with her family. The one-time, lump-sum payment amounted to $91,187,716.61 before taxes. The store where Carvajal purchased the jackpot-winning ticket will receive a $65,000 bonus for selling it.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1:195,249,054. Carvajal is the fourth Powerball jackpot winner from Florida since the state began offering the game in January of 2009.
The Powerball jackpot currently sits at $40 million for the next drawing on March 9, 2011.
