With no jackpot winner from the March 15, 2011 drawing, the Mega Millions jackpot rolls to $201 million for the next drawing on Fri., March 18, 2011.
If the jackpot is won in the March 18, 2011 drawing and the winner chooses the annuity option, the prize money will be paid out in 26 annual payments. The cash option would get the winner an estimated one-time payment of $128.3 million. The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1:175,711,536.
Players who don't hit the jackpot Friday night can still pocket bigger prizes if they purchase the Megaplier option for an additional $1 when they buy a Mega Millions ticket. Tickets that have the Megaplier option and match all five white-ball numbers but not the yellow Mega Ball win $1 million automatically, regardless of what Megaplier number is drawn.
Mega Millions is played in 41 states and the District of Columbia. Tickets can be purchased at any lottery retailer up until 9:00 p.m. CT/8:00 p.m. MT the night of the draw.
