Murdo Man Claims $5,001 Wild Card 2 Prize

Roland Barton of Murdo on May 12, 2011 claimed his $5,001 Wild Card 2 prize from the April 30, 2011 drawing at the Pierre Lottery office.

Barton matched all five white ball numbers but not the Wild Card to win the game's second prize of $5,000; he also matched one of five white ball numbers and the Wild Card on another play line on the ticket to win an additional $1.

The 84-year-old picked his own numbers on the lucky ticket which was purchased at Country Pride Co-Op in White River. The store will receive a bonus of $500 for selling the ticket.

Wild Card 2 is played only in Idaho, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. The Wild Card 2 jackpot currently sits at $130,000 for the next drawing on Sat., May 14, 2011.
