A single ticket sold in Long Island, New York hit the $200 million Powerball jackpot in the June 1, 2011 drawing. The ticket was sold at a stationary store in Lindenhurst. If the lucky ticket holder chooses the cash option, they'll pocket $106.2 million.
There were nine $200,000 winners for the June 1, 2011 drawing. Those second prize tickets were sold in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey (2), New York (2), Ohio, Tennessee and Washington. Two players, one each in Connecticut and North Carolina, had the Power Play option on their tickets and won $1 million for matching all five white ball numbers but missing the Powerball.
The Powerball jackpot currently sits at $20 million for the next drawing on Sat., June 4, 2011. The game is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
