Two tickets, one sold in Hermosa and the other in Sioux Falls, are worth $10,000 each following the August 24, 2011 Powerball drawing.
Each ticket matched four of five white ball numbers and the Powerball to win the game's third prize. Winning numbers are 9, 13, 47, 49 and 53; the Powerball is 39 and the Power Play is 5. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1:723,145.
Both ticket holders are advised to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe place before contacting the Rapid City Lottery office at 605-394-5106, the Sioux Falls Lottery office at 605-367-5840 or the Pierre Lottery office at 605-773-5770. Winners have 180 days to claim their prize.
Powerball is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The jackpot currently sits at $61 million for the next drawing on Saturday, August 27, 2011.
