(PIERRE, SD) – South Dakota Lottery officials are reminding holders of Camaro® Cash “ENTRY” scratch tickets to turn them in to lottery offices now if they want the chance to win a new car later this month.
The $5 scratch ticket gives players two ways to win a 2011 Chevrolet® Camaro® 1SS Coupe: instantly, or by submitting an “ENTRY” ticket into an October 19, 2011 drawing. Three cars will be awarded through the game, two instantly and one by random draw. To date, only one vehicle has been won instantly. Lori Hoffman of Mission Hill won a new car in May from a Camaro® Cash scratch ticket she received in a birthday card.
Lottery director Norm Lingle says if players with “ENTRY” tickets don’t turn them in before the draw date, the tickets will have no value.
“These special tickets secure the player a spot in the October 19 drawing for the car but they need to be turned in by 5:00 p.m. on October 13 to be eligible. Any tickets received after that date won’t qualify,” Lingle said.
To enter an “ENTRY” ticket, the person must complete the claimant information on the back of the ticket and sign it then turn it in to any South Dakota Lottery office. Offices are located at 107B New York Street in Rapid City, 3824 S. Western Avenue in Sioux Falls, and 711 E. Wells Avenue in Pierre. Valid tickets may also be mailed to South Dakota Lottery, P.O. Box 7107, Pierre, SD, 57501. Entries must be postmarked by October 13, 2011 to be eligible.
As of October 2, 2011, the Lottery has received 3,319 entries for the drawing. The lucky winner of the new Camaro® will be notified by Lottery officials following the October 19 drawing. The game will continue to be available to players until the other “instant win” car is awarded.
