The winners of two jackpots from the October 29, 2011 lotto drawings in South Dakota have claimed their prizes.
Jennifer Lanners of Sioux Falls collected her $125,000 Wild Card 2 jackpot on November 1, 2011 at the Sioux Falls Lottery office. Lanners purchased the winning ticket at HyVee on South Minnesota in Sioux Falls; the store will receive a $1,250 bonus for the sale.
Also on November 1, 2011 at the Sioux Falls Lottery office, Kathryn Adams of Peever claimed her $21,120 Dakota Cash jackpot. Adams' winning ticket was bought at the Cenex C-Store in Peever, which will earn a $1,056 bonus for selling it.
A winner has yet to step forward with the $50,000 Powerball ticket that was sold in Rapid City for the October 29, 2011 drawing.
Powerball is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Wild Card 2 is played in Idaho, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. Dakota Cash is played and won only in South Dakota. The next drawings for all three games are Wednesday, November 2, 2011. The jackpots currently sit at $245 million for Powerball, $100,000 for Wild Card 2 and $20,000 for Dakota Cash.
