For Immediate Release: 4/2/2012

(PIERRE) - Michael Stokke of Sioux Falls on April 2, 2012 claimed his $250,000 Mega Millions prize from the March 30, 2012 drawing at the Sioux Falls Lottery office.

Stokke matched all five white ball numbers but missed the Mega Ball to win the $250,000 second prize. His was one of 158 tickets nationwide worth that amount in the March 30, 2012 drawing. The odds of winning $250,000 playing Mega Millions are 1:3,904,701. Three tickets, one each in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland, had all five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball, meaning the record-breaking $640 million jackpot will be split three ways.

Stokke purchased his winning $250,000 ticket at Casey's General Store on West Burnside in Sioux Falls. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
