Hot Lotto jackpots start at $1 million and grow until someone wins. Tickets cost $1 per play for each drawing. For an additional $1 per play, you can triple your non-jackpot prizes with SIZZLER! Drawings are held each Wednesday and Saturday night.

There are nine ways to win. If you win the jackpot, you can take it in 25 annual installments (paid over 24 years) or in a single lump sum cash payment.

How to Play

  • Use a play slip to pick five numbers from 1 to 39 and your Hot Ball - a number from 1 to 19; or
  • Ask your retailer for a Hot Lotto quick pick.
  • You can buy tickets up to 9:00 p.m. (CT) / 8:00 p.m. (MT) on the nights of the drawings.
  • You can play up to nine consecutive draws in advance. Just ask your retailer.

Triple Your Prizes with SIZZLER!

For an additional $1 per play at the time of purchase, you can triple your prizes, except the jackpot, with SIZZLER!

To play Sizzler, ask your retailer for a Hot Lotto Sizzler ticket, or mark the Sizzler box at the top of the playslip.

Sizzler costs an additional $1 per Hot Lotto play. If you buy a $1 Hot Lotto ticket and add the $1 Sizzler option, your cost is $2.

Subject to Hot Lotto rules, all of the prize amounts may vary and become pari-mutuel with each drawing as a result of the amount of dollars played and the number of winning tickets at each level. The jackpot prize will be divided equally among multiple winners.

Prizes may be claimed up to 180 days after the date of the drawing in which the prize was won.
