The South Dakota Lottery's players can experience some history-making "Good Fun" this week thanks to the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots.

A pair of America's most popular lotto games has seen their jackpots continue to climb, with one even reaching new heights. Friday's Mega Millions drawing will feature a $900 million jackpot, which is the largest in the game's history and second largest U.S. lottery prize.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 each. Players may also go for the big one by purchasing two chances to win the jackpot for just $3 with the Just the Jackpot option. Tickets purchased with the Just the Jackpot option are only eligible to win the jackpot prize.

Wednesday's Powerball drawing will also provide intrigue with its $345 million jackpot. This is the 17th largest jackpot in the game's history. Powerball drawings take place each Wednesday and Saturday, and tickets are $2.

While the jackpots are sure to create excitement among players, the South Dakota Lottery advices players to play responsibly and remember that it only takes one ticket to win. If you or someone you know has a problem with gambling, please visit https://lottery.sd.gov/responsible/ for assistance.

Each year, the South Dakota Lottery provides up to $214,000 annually to the S.D. Department of Social Services to pay for problem gambling treatment services.

In addition to promoting responsible gaming, the South Dakota Lottery has contributed $2.81 billion to support K-12 education since its inception in 1987, projects such as drinking water improvements and more.
