Vending Machines

No more standing in line to buy your tickets or see what's new. We are excited to introduce our new SD Lottery vending machines!
These machines are now available at select retailers across the state. At the touch of a button, this self-service vending machine can give you access to your favorite Lottery draw games (Dakota Cash, Lucky for Life, Lotto America, Mega Millions, and Powerball) and scratch tickets.

That's not all though! You can check to see if you have a winning ticket! For instructions, please view our tutorial.

Step 1: Scan

To get started you must scan your state-issued driver's license. Players must be 18 years or older to purchase tickets. No personal information will be captured through this process.

Step 2: Pay

Insert $1, $5, $10, $20 or $50 bills for your purchase. This machine does not give change, so insert the exact amount you would like to pay.

Step 3: Select

Select the game or games you'll like to play by pushing the ticket window or inserting your play slip. Players can choose between 24 scratch games and 5 lotto games.

Step 4: Play

Take your game from the dispensers located left of the blue handicap handle.
