CONTEST GUIDELINES
JURASSIC PARK Second Chance Drawing
August 4, 2025 – July 27, 2026
The JURASSIC PARK Second Chance Drawing from the South Dakota Lottery is available to members of the South Dakota Lottery’s Players Club. South Dakota Lottery players may enter for a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Oahu, Hawaii and play the CHALLENGE for a chance to win a share of up to $1 million.
These drawing guidelines have been prepared to ensure the prizes awarded for the promotion are determined as impartially and randomly as possible and that the integrity of the South Dakota Lottery is maintained at all times.
The Executive Director of the South Dakota Lottery reserves the right to change and supersede any outlined procedures to handle unforeseen circumstances.

Prize:
One (1) winner will receive a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Oahu, Hawaii and play the CHALLENGE for a chance to win a share of up to $1 million.
GENERAL
- To be eligible for the drawing, the entrant must be 18 years or older.
- The entrant must be a member of the South Dakota Lottery’s Players Club.
- To become eligible for the drawing, players can enter non-winning, eligible JURASSIC PARK instant tickets on the South Dakota Lottery’s Players Club website or mobile app.
- The odds of an entrant being selected as a Prizewinner will be determined by the number of entries submitted.
- The Prizewinner of the drawing will be determined at a publicly held drawing at the Pierre Lottery office in accordance with SDCL Chapter 42-7A, Lottery administrative rules, and these guidelines.
- The Prizewinner will have five (5) business days from the date they are notified of their win to submit their confirmation information to receive their prize; should that deadline not be met, the prize will revert to the next alternate.
- The Prizewinner will be subject to the Lottery’s debt set-off process. If an obligation is to be fulfilled, the winner will have ten (10) business days to fulfill the obligation, or the prize will go to the next alternate.
- By accepting their Trip Prize, Prizewinners agree to allowing their names and town being published to the Players Club website and the South Dakota Lottery’s social media pages. By accepting their Trip Prize, Prizewinners also agree to being interviewed about their win.
- In the event that the South Dakota Lottery is unable to conduct the drawing, due to technological issues or other like circumstances, the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) has been authorized to perform the drawing in a back-up capacity, utilizing the procedures and processes contained in these guidelines.
- If any technical issues affect the results of the draw, the Lottery reserves the right to re-conduct the draw.
METHOD OF PROCESSING ENTRIES
- All entries must be entered either on the Lottery’s Players Club website or South Dakota Lottery mobile app.
- Entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. central time on July 26, 2026.
- Data collected in the course of the promotion is stored on secure servers within a guarded limited access hosting facility and access to data is protected by a variety of security products. The Director of Security for the South Dakota Lottery has been made aware of these security procedures and has deemed them acceptable for the purposes of this drawing.
- Internet entries are processed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from the date and time the promotion begins until the final deadline of the final drawing for which entries are eligible to be submitted. Each entry record contains a date stamp to indicate when it was submitted by the entrant.
- Each entry will be validated by Lottery Security, if selected.
- All entries are retained in the entry database for the duration of the promotion, regardless of whether or not they are selected in the drawing, to ensure that any entry cannot be submitted more than one time during the course of the promotion.
Trip Prize Description
- Roundtrip coach airfare for up to two (2) people from any U.S. international airport in the 48 U.S. contiguous states, Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Hawaii (inclusive of all associated security fees, taxes and surcharges);
- Ground transfers between destination Airport and the destination hotel and, if necessary, between SG hosted activities and event;
- One (1) double occupancy room accommodations (room and room tax only) at a 3-star or better hotel in Oahu, Hawaii for five (5) nights;
- One thousand dollars ($1,000) spending money for the Prizewinner to be provided two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled trip departure date;
- Admission for Prizewinner and guest to the Welcome Reception;
- Prizewinner shall select one (1) tour or excursion from a variety of curated tours and activities in and around Oahu for Prizewinner and guest;
- Admission to the CHALLENGE event venue for the Prizewinner and guest;
- The Prizewinner, or duly authorized proxy, shall have one (1) chance to participate in the CHALLENGE for a chance to win up to one million dollars ($1,000,000) as described below.
- The Prizewinner’s guest may sit with the Prizewinner but will not be eligible to be a participant in the CHALLENGE unless the guest has been appointed as the Prizewinner’s proxy.
$1,000,000 JACKPOT CHALLENGE OVERVIEW
- The $1,000,000 JACKPOT CHALLENGE (the “CHALLENGE” or “EVENT”) will be conducted according to event and security procedures generated by Scientific Games, LLC (“SG”) and its third-party underwriters. Final official event details (“the “Event Details”) explaining how the CHALLENGE will be conducted will be provided to the Lottery no later than 120 days prior to the EVENT.
- Each Prizewinner (or assigned proxy) shall participate as a contestant (the “Contestant”) in the CHALLENGE together with Prizewinners from other participating lottery jurisdictions.
- Prizewinners’ guests may sit with Prizewinners in the audience but will not be eligible to be a Contestant in the CHALLENGE unless they have been designated as the Prizewinner’s proxy.
- Each Contestant will have one (1) chance to play a series of mini games for the chance to win cash prizes (collectively, the “Challenge Prize”). The total potential Challenge Prize that may be won by each Contestant, shall be based upon the round (defined below) in which the Contestant is participating, and will range from one thousand dollars ($1,000) up to a chance to win one million dollars ($1,000,000) (“Grand Prize”). The total Challenge Prize won, less tax withholdings, in the CHALLENGE by the Prizewinner will be mailed to the Prizewinner within thirty (30) business days after the official conclusion of the EVENT, but no later than December 31, 2026.
- The CHALLENGE will consist of four (4) rounds (each a “Round” or plural “Rounds”). Each Round will be played separately.
i. Round 1: Cash Prizes range from seventy-five dollars ($75) up to one thousand dollars ($1,000).
ii. Round 2: Cash Prizes range from one hundred dollars ($100) up to five thousand dollars ($5,000).
iii. Round 3: Cash Prizes range from five hundred dollars ($500) up to fifty thousand dollars ($50,000).
iv. Round 4: Cash Prizes range from three hundred twenty-five dollars ($325) up to one million dollars ($1,000,000).
Scientific Games reserves the right to modify specific game play provided such change does not result in a lower expected payout for the Contestant for the modified portion.
Prizewinners will be mailed the Event Details concerning the CHALLENGE prior to their trip departure.
Universal Studios Licensing LLC (“Universal”) and Amblin Entertainment, Inc. (“Amblin”), each of their parents and/or any of their subsidiaries, affiliates or licensors (Universal, Amblin and each of their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and licensors are collectively referred to hereinafter as, the “Universal Entities”) and are not sponsors or administrators of the CHALLENGE.
