South Dakota Lottery players will once again have a second chance to make their Powerball dreams come true.
In conjunction with the Multi-State Lottery Association, the SD Lottery is offering players with non-winning Powerball tickets the chance to celebrate New Year's Eve in Times Square, along with becoming 2021's First Powerball Millionaire.
While this promotion is familiar to many players, the COVID-19 pandemic has shifted portions of the promotion--but the show must go on!
Unlike previous years, the five winners of South Dakota's second chance drawing will receive an exclusive prize pack and entry into a nationwide drawing conducted by the Multi-State Lottery Association. This national drawing will determine five finalists, all of whom will receive an all-expenses paid trip to ring in the new year in New York along with a guest.
The promotion will culminate with a final drawing to determine 2021's first Powerball Millionaire in conjunction with the Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve broadcast.
To take your second chance at becoming a Powerball millionaire, enter your non-winning Powerball tickets prior to the October 14 drawing. Non-winning tickets may be entered via the SD Lottery's mobile app or online at
